It had been badly converted in the 1980's and clad in clay tiles. The main living room and bedrooms are on the first floor. A 2.1 metre wide steel balcony on three columns has been constructed at first floor level across the whole width of the house. New sliding folding doors have been inserted across a whole bay of the ground floor.
