House renovation and extension Cambridge
This nineteen-twenties single family house, set in a conservation area in west Cambridge on the edge of the green belt, was in very poor condition before being completely refurbished and extended. Minimal alterations have been made to the rooms to allow for the inclusion of extra bathrooms. Two ground floor rooms have been opened up to form a kitchen-dining room. New French doors and windows, in character with the existing ones, were made to allow better access to the garden. The rotted timber ground floor was replaced with a ceramic-tiled floor throughout with under floor heating.

The courtyard between the main house and converted out buildings has been glazed over and a new octagonal conservatory built, detailed to tie in with the bay windows of the main house. The front garden walls of the house were completed with large oak gates and an extensive walled garden was also created to the rear of the house.
