House alteration and extension St John's Wood
This Neo-Georgian terrace house situated in North London has been completely refurbished inside and the ground floor rear opened up with a new contemporary addition to provide a spacious, light, well-insulated living-dining-kitchen looking south onto the rear garden.

The whole of the back wall of the house at ground level was removed and a new extension the whole width of the house built with sliding folding doors opening out onto the paved garden.

The new construction has been designed to take up the minimum space while giving good standards of insulation. Two steel 'goal post' frames form the structure. The walls are timber frame, rendered on the outside. The roof is formed from pre-fabricated sandwich timber panels, with a long-lasting tern-coated stainless steel roof.

Within, the ground and first floors are made of walnut flooring. There are extensive custom built-in cupboards with concealed handles in every room. Bathrooms have limestone tiles and extensive glass splash-backs in showers and elsewhere.
